Candles and Aura

Auras are a manifestation of one of our body layers, the Auric layer. Yes, just about anyone can see them, if they practice. I have to be in the right environment to see them and it is not easy for me at all.Your aura is an energy field that surrounds you. Within it, a psychic can see illnesses, emotional problems, and such. But what interests you more than an ability to see your own aura, is the fact, that aura collects a lot of negative energies each day. In order to stay healthy and emotionally stable, you need to remember about cleansing your aura as often as possible.

We can see an Aura if we sit in a semi-dark room with perhaps one candle to give a soft light. Hold your arm out in front of you and look at it. Now relax your gaze. Just stop focusing on your arm and just be for a moment. You may begin to see a shimmer or a glow at the edges of your arm. That is your Aura. Don’t worry if you don’t see colors, just be thrilled that you can see this. You are actually not seeing this with your two eyes so much as with your third eye. It is hard to describe, but it is very real.

Aura, as your energy field, extends far beyond your body.

The aura is an electromagnetic field that that can be described as a luminous body that surrounds the physical body, taking on a cocoon like shape. Each and every object, living or inanimate has an aura. Auras constantly change color and shape, depending on how the person is feeling and where they are emotionally and spiritually. The aura usually extends out from the body 30-40 cm for an average person, and can be much larger for a more highly developed spiritual person. The aura can be viewed as a visual representation of the soul. It is a very complex system and each persons aura is distinctly different and can change over time. There are however flashes of colors that depict certain emotions, that are common to all of us, such as red for anger, pink for love and green for envy etc.

There is constant interaction between your aura, and your inner energies.

Because aura extends beyond your body, it comes in contact with physical objects around you, and with other people, too. And let’s be honest, objects around us, and people that we meet, hug, have sex with, kiss etc, not always have a nice energy field around them. Your aura, thus, collects a lot of negative energies.

When you have become skilled at Image result for chakra and candles spiritualitymeditation and visualization, you will be ready to learn to see auras. Auras are the fields of bio-magnetic energy that emanate from and envelop all living things. Like the Earth Herself, each of us is a living field generator. Since we’re not spinning on our axis like the Earth, our field poles are not generated by rotation, but are more like those of a magnet. One pole, called the Crown Chakra, is at the top of our heads, right at the juncture of the three large skull bones (frontal and parietals) that come together there (when we are babies, this point is actually an open hole!). The opposite pole–called the Root Chakra–is at the base of our spine, right at the tip of our tailbone.

Just like the Earth’s magnetosphere, with its Van Allen Belts, our auras form several layers, based on energy levels. The first layer, extending about an inch out from our skin, is called the etheric body. Because it is the densest layer, it is also the easiest to learn to see. The next layer is called the astral body, and it extends another several inches further. Beyond the astral body are the mental and spiritual bodies. These are very high-energy and elastic, and their limits can vary under differing circumstances.

Perhaps you know of the Aurora Borealis, or “Northern Lights” that fill the skies of northern countries with brilliant, shimmering ethereal “curtains,” “spears,” and dancing “flames” of rainbow-colored light. Around the South Pole, these are called Aurora Australis, or “Southern Lights.” These awe-inspiring displays are caused by the ionization (stripping away the electrons) of particles from the Solar Wind as they are sucked into the circular “event horizons” of the Earth’s magnetic field around the magnetic poles. This is just like what happens inside a florescent light, including a “black light.” Your etheric body, then, is equivalent to the Earth’s auroras. And if you learn how to look for it, it can be just as visible.

The aura around the head is called the nimbus; around the whole body it is called the aureole. Have a friend sit in front of a blank wall or curtain–something tan, beige, or off white is best. Have the lighting below, with the light source out of your view (a few candles can work well). Sit about ten feet back, settle yourself into a light meditative state, and stare blankly at your friend’s “third eye” ~~ right between the eyebrows. As you do so, open your eyes wide and let them go into a soft focus, as if you are actually focusing on a spot about halfway between you. You may find this easier to do by hanging a white thread from the ceiling at this distance, and focusing on it. Breathe smoothly and maintain your off-focus. After a bit, you will begin to see a clear light outlining your friend’s head, as if they were glowing softly. But if you shift your focus to try and see it more clearly, it will disappear. The trick is to not look directly at the aura, but rather catch it at the edges of your vision.Image result for chakra and candles spirituality

Practice this awhile until you can do it easily. Then try the same thing under differing lighting, different backgrounds, and with different people. Eventually, you will be able to see auras around anyone–in school, on the bus, in restaurants, theater’s. And when you can see auras around people, you will be able to see them also around pets, plants, and especially trees which have enormous auras.

What you will have learned to perceive in this way is the etheric aura. As your perceptions improve, you can also learn to detect the energy that radiates into the astral body and beyond. You may be able to see flowing, ebbing, waving, and shimmering like the Earth’s Aurora. With practice, you may become able to see colors, which can indicate a person’s emotional or physical condition. Any state of the individual’s being causes reactions in the aura. Emotional states will primarily affect the color. Physical conditions not only affect color, but also cause peculiarities in the patterns of the aura, such as ragged edges or holes over injuries or sore spots. Learning to see these patterns will be of great use if you become a Healer. (see “Auric Healing.”)

Seeing the colors of auras takes considerably more skill than merely perceiving a glowing light around someone. And such colors, when they are perceived, will be very individual to the perceives. You and a friend may both learn to see aura colors, but they may seem to be different to each of you. This is normal. With time and practice, you will learn your own system of what these colors mean to you.

Your Aura is a unique and special gift and often influences people’s first impressions of you. It acts as your spiritual signature. In essence, your Aura is you. Over time, your Aura can become unbalanced and chaotic, reacting to stress and unhappiness in your day-to-day life. This in turn can block your positive energies from flowing.Related image

Candles can be one of the most effective tools used for meditation, rituals and other ceremonies. The size of the candles you use is not important. It is the color and its meaning that matters!A candle is an ignitable wick embedded in wax or another flammable solid substance such as tallow that provides light, and in some cases, a fragrance. It can also be used to provide heat, or used as a method of keeping time.

One of the earliest forms of portable illumination, candles have served vital functions for humankind throughout history, a fact chronicled through the discovery of candles or candle-like objects in virtually every society. Historians believe the original candle may have been invented by primitive men who dipped dried branches in animal fat, thus producing a slow-burning and reliable source of light. Reliefs belonging to the ancient Egyptians depict the use of candles by writers and philosophers who worked well after sundown. These early candles were most likely developed from tapers that were made of fibrous materials mixed with wax or tallow (the white, nearly tasteless fat of cattle or sheep that was also used to make soap, margarine, and lubricants). As far back as 3000 b.c., dish-shaped candles were used on the island of Crete.

Today, one can find candles in an infinite variety of shapes, colors, scents and sizes.  Pillars, tapers, votives, tea lights, container candles, floating candles, candles with multiple wicks, gel candles, painted candles, carved candles, candles shaped like fruit or food or figurines; if you can dream it, there’s a candle for it.  Candles bring beauty and glamour to any occasion, but what most people do not realize is the ugly truth hidden behind the magic; modern paraffin candles contain harmful, carcinogenic (meaning, causing cancer) chemicals and contaminants that are vaporized and released into our homes and directly into our lungs every time we burn them.
Only fresh candles should be used. This avoids issues with candles that have picked up negative energies and vibrations interfering with the ritual or meditation and adversely affecting the outcome. Traditionally, candles should be lit with matches and should be snuffed out, not blown out.

Image result for candle and aurasFire or the Flame has always been regarded as something holy, magical and mysterious. In most societies, fire first belonged to the gods; the legend of Prometheus and the creation of humanity are but one example. Prometheus is credited with having stolen fire from the gods and given it to mortal mankind.

Fire operates in all aspects of life. From volcanic fires to the fires of ordinary body heat to that all consuming fire of passion in the belly, from the solar fires to the fires of intellect, fire’s presence is felt nearly everywhere.

When we use the fires of candles, we are participating in the ritual of fire that has existed throughout the ages. Therefore this healing practice should be seen as an ancient ceremony of creation.

  • The candles color must respond with the healing required as its
vibration force is activated, released and amplified when it is lit. (Consult this page with some colors) The color emanates its vibration to enlighten the moment and facilitate focus.
  • The one you choose should be cleansed and anointed before using by rubbing with a light olive oil in an upwards direction towards the wick. This process is called “dressing the candle.” It strengthens the color so that its energies are more vibrant and activated which will make them far more effective for your purpose.
  • Once used for a specific purpose such as in healing, it should not be used for something else as this will set up conflicting vibrations.
  • A strong affirmation of intention must be performed when the flame is lit as well as when it is extinguished as if you are firmly setting and locking the healing energy in place.
  • Any candle will be effective. For longer, more sustained effects, church candles can be quite effective as they can burn for a long time. Do not leave a candle unattended and make sure you burn them in the right candle holders.
  • Do not use candles to interfere with the free will of another as the rebound effect can be very dramatic.
  • Putting out the candle should be the last thing after the healing has been done or the ritual has been performed. Visualize the area or person being healed surrounded by white light. Do not blow the candle out rather get yourself a snuffer or use wet fingers to put out the flame.

Look upon the unlit candle as the unlit essence of life energy in the physical body that awaits a renewing touch of fire to help restore health to body and soul. When you light its flame, imagine you are creating light where there was no light before, bringing warmth and healing where it is needed.Meditate and establish a psychic link between the candle and yourself. Be specific in what you ask for and don’t get greedy. Do not use candles to put negative energy onto others. Always be careful what you wish for, you might just get it.
