Crystal and Gemstone Healing
A wand is an energetic tool which may be used to focus intent and what is often described as subtle energy to bring about change in oneself, in others and ones environment. Wands are fashioned from a multitude of materials and to many designs.Wands have been used in many cultures throughout history. Wands and other vibrational tools were used extensively in Atlantean, and Lemarian cultures, which filtered down to many of the cultures of Africa, and Europe. In fact their legacy is still seen in positions of authority in modern society, such as staffs, crooks, and scepters wielded by church leaders and heads of state.Wands can be made from wood, metal or indeed anything, which will conduct subtle energy. Plastics and other materials can be used to fashion wands but are not generally used because of their insulating properties. Leather was and is used in some wand designs to insulate the energy field of the practitioner from the wand.
Many traditional wands were, and still are, made from wood. For those of you who may wish to fashion your own wooden wand it is important for the energetic that the wand is of live wood. If a branch or twig is cut from a tree or plant, the life force that animates the wood will be rapidly withdrawn from the branch in order for the plant to conserve its energy.
Live wood is obtained by tuning in to the consciousness of the tree and asking that a gift of the chosen branch be given. Sit or stand with the tree for a while, spend some time getting to know the tree. Then when it feels appropriate either out loud or in your head state that you wish to be given a section of live wood to create a wand and ask that the vibration and energy be left in the section from which the wand is to be fashioned. Once you have cut the live wood thank the tree, and leave some form of exchange. The wand can then be fashioned or carved into an appropriate form and augmented with the addition of crystals, colored ribbons feathers or other items significant to you.
Wooden wands are by their very nature ideal for practitioners of earth magic, wiccans, etc. Generally speaking wooden wands have a very subtle, flowing natural feel to their energy. The wand was and indeed still is a part of Druidic and shamanic tool kits. The wand is used to work with the element of air, which is associated with the mental body and the intellect, hence its use as a focus for ones intent. In contrast to wooden wands metal-based wands are highly conductive, very directional and focused energetically. Designs may include matrices of wires or metal rods to form the wand, or more commonly a metal tube with crystals and other materials mounted in them.
The easiest form of metal wand to fashion is a tubular wand. Copper or stainless steel pipe is easily obtained and cut to length using a pipe cutter or hacksaw. Crystals are then mounted at either end of the pipe. Some designs place additional crystals or energetic materials in the pipe to confer different energy frequencies for different applications.Designs vary and some of the most ornate metal wands have platonic solids and other complex shapes and wire matrices bonded to the pipe or handle. In addition to using crystals to enhance a wooden or metal wand, some wands are fashioned from pure crystal. In order to form the blocks of crystal into a wand specialist tooling is generally required depending on the hardness of the crystal.A crystal wand has a force field or aura around it like any other object.
It is easy to feel that field when you slowly wave the tip of the wand over the opened left palm. Some people also may feel uplifted in their vibration just by holding the wand in their hand.
Once the basic wand of whatever material is formed the energy may be augmented by the addition of other crystals. These crystals will blend their vibrations with that of the wand in order to bring about positive change. Winding conductive materials such as metal wire around the wand can further augment the energy of the wand. If a spiral is wound down the piece, or even multiple spirals, then the energy flow will be further amplified. Using these basic principles the harmonics of a wand can be tailored to suit any practitioner.Once having obtained your wand, either after purchasing one or making your own, what to do with it? The simple answer will be to follow your own intuition, but the following tried and tested techniques have worked for us.Wands are usually rod like in construction, generally one end collects energy which is focused down the wand and directed via a crystal or a point to bring about change. One of the most common designs utilizes a sphere as the collector and a point at the other end as a director.Wands are a popular healing tool. They are used to channel energy in reflexology and massage. Everything is connected, and everything is energy. Magical and spiritual work involves working within this sea of energy to create harmony and positive change. That’s why crystals – which vibrate with very specific healing and harmonizing frequencies – are an extremely useful The stone should be chosen for its particular benefits and energies. Gemstone wands are also very good to use as a meditation tool. Wands are almost always used in healing.
Wands are carved from many gemstones. The gemstone is carved rounded or with several flat sides. A wand can be any length and width. The size of the wand is a personal choice. The choice of gemstone is very personal also. It is best to have several wands, and then you can have a wand for different types of spells.Crystal massage works at a deep level to assist in healing a variety of ailments.Healing Wands are used to focus and direct energy. Since ancient times, wands have been used for healing by healers all over the world. Healing wands gather and direct energy. Wands serve as an extension of ourselves and our abilities. Healing wands are used for healing, direction of power, consecrations, and blessings.Healing wands can be used in many different methods of healing. They can be used to heal the entire body or aura, or they can be used on a specific area of the body. They can be used to scan the aura to locate blockages, and then cleanse and heal them. Wands can also be used in massage healing. Massaging the body with a wand helps to release tension from the body, while at the same time the wand’s healing energy is transferred to the body. Smooth, round wands that are rounded on at least one end are the best to use in massage healing as they will not scratch or cause other discomfort to the body.
Since ancient times, crystal wands have been used for healing by healers all over the world. Some believe that they were even used by crystal healers in Atlantis. Today, crystal wands are still a common tool used by healers around the world.Magic or Message Wands have been used since ancient times to increase the power of spells. The pointed end of each wand directs the spell energy. The wand is a powerful addition to have on your altar. Wands can be wrapped in silver or copper wire with other gemstones to personalize it.A personal power wand should be the first wand to have.
The personal power wand should be carved from a gemstone that has a special meaning to you. The gemstone may be your power birthstone or any stone that has a personal connection to you. The personal power wand is often adorned with other gem stones. The best way to attach gemstones to a wand is with silver wire. When faceted stones are used, they can be glued to the wand. The wand is a required item in many rituals and the wand always adds power to any spell by keeping it on the altar with the point pointing south.
Wands come in many different shapes and sizes, and also
in many varieties of stone as well. Wands may be long or short, and the cylinder can be smooth or faceted.
They can be pointed at one end and rounded at the other, or they can be rounded on both ends, or pointed at both ends. Some wands are wider at one end and tapered at the other, while others are not. Most wands are shaped and polished, but rough natural pointed crystals, such as quartz, can also be used as a healing wand.Because of the wand’s round end shape (rounded on one end, pointed at the other end) the rounded end is the end that you hold, round end facing towards you. The terminated or pointed end is the end that you use to direct energy, either inward (into something, point wand at object, or outward, pointing into the universe). Just like holding a pencil with the point away from you, the eraser facing towards you. Energy is usually directed into the wand from the rounded end, and this energy is then focused into something with the pointed end.
One can also place a wand near or on a container of massage oil to let the energies of the wand infuse into the massage oils, or place near water containers and then drink the charged water.
Wands are normally held in the right hand. Energetically we receive energy with the left hand and give with the right hand. Focus your intent and then direct the energy through the wand to the recipient. The wand may be used in this fashion to draw sacred symbols, connect crystals in a grid or matrix, or direct energy to a person, time or place.
Healing crystals are used for a variety of different reasons. You can use them to heal an area of your body that is wounded, sore, or simply in need of healing. If your chakras are out of balance you can also use healing crystals to help align your 7 chakras during a meditation session, or in a healing session itself. Auras are also greatly benefited by the use of healing crystals. You can cleanse your aura, or even someone else′s, with a cleansed healing crystal and find an immediate sense of peace and relief as you do so. Other healing arts that healing crystals are used for include massage, reflexology, and some women even use them during facials. One of the prime uses of a wand is in healing. The wand may be used in whatever fashion feels appropriate. The wand may be passed up and down the recipient pointed at wounds or energy blockages etc and energy will be directed in. In addition the wand may be placed base down on the recipient in order to draw negative energy or pain etc out. Once this energy is drawn out it is important to transmute this negativity and there are a number of methods to achieve this. The most important step in using a healing crystal is to follow what your intuition and gut is telling you as you use it.
Healing crystals are ripe with energy and vibrations, and will point you to the area that needs healing the most. Even if that is not the area you are most concerned with! Often times our physical healing is blocked because of an area of health that we are not aware of. If your healing crystal points you to something that confuses you, take care of that area first, and you may find the healing pervades to many other areas! Listen and use the vibrations and energy of your healing crystals, and as you do, you will become one with it and find more and more healing every day and every time you use it.If you are using your healing crystals for physical healing of a wound, ache, or pain, start by holding your crystals over the area of affliction. You do not need to actually touch the area with your crystals, but you can if you want. Even if you don′t however, your healing crystals have energy vibrations that do all of the work for you. Ensure that the point of the healing crystal is pointed away, as this channels the energy from Universe through the wand and to the affected area. As you do so, imagine the crystal drawing out the toxins and negativity from your body and from the affected area. Some people like to draw circle or wave the crystal in the area in question. A small mantra, prayer, or blessing can be incorporated into this ritual as well. There is no wrong way to use your healing crystals. A statement of intent that the negative energy removed during healing is transmuted into positive energy is one way of achieving this. Directing the energy into a vortex of purple light may also be used. Calling on guidance, angelic energies, or ascended masters such as Saint Germain to assist in the transmutation of negative energy may also be used. One very useful purpose of healing crystals is their ability to draw out negative energy from your body. For this, you do the opposite method described above. Point the tip of the crystal towards your body, and as you do, meditate on all of the negative things happening inside you. Are they fears? Are they worries? Is it anxiety, depression, or even a migraine? Meditate on the crystal drawing out and pulling out negativity and pain. Again, speak your intentions if you like as you do so.Healing crystals are very useful in cleansing auras and aligning chakras. It is best to do this when you are lying down. You can begin in any area of your body as you do, and wave or hold your crystal horizontally over your body. Move it slowly over your body and as you do, pay close attention to any moments if the healing crystal begins to vibrate. These are areas of attention your crystal is pointing to you, and you want to spend more time on these areas. Do so on your entire body until you don′t feel the healing crystal vibrating any more. Your aura is now cleansed and blessed for a fabulous day.
The power of healing crystals is the power of the combined energy fields of universe, along with the energy of your own psychic potential and intuition. Your intuition plays a huge role in how powerful your healing crystal is. You can use your healing wand to enhance your intuition and create even more psychic potential for you. To do so, work with your crown chakra or your third eye chakra. Your third eye chakra center is located in between your two eyes, and your crown chakra is at the top of your head. Lying down is best for this exercise as well. Point the healing crystal to the chakra in question, and imagine positive energy and white light flowing in and around you. You can also visualize colors such as violet, white, and indigo, and visualize your healing crystals channeling these colors and their vibrations into your chakra center. If your crystal begins to vibrate lightly, then you are doing it right! Do so until it stop vibrating and you will begin to feel more at one with Universe. For your crown chakra, you can also wave the crystal gently over your crown in a clockwise motion to move the energy centers and vibrations around.
After the wand has been used it should be cleansed using a smudge stick, visualization or by blowing down the wand to remove any negativity.Wands may be laid on a recipient to balance the energy system, or to open the chakra chain. In addition to healing, wands may be used as an aid to meditation simply by holding the wand whilst in the medative state.
A good wand is a powerful partner in any form of energy work. Tell it what you want it to do, give the wand clear instruction on what you want doing , i.e. place it at the feet of the recipient and ask the wand to open the chakra chain and dissolve any negative energies it encounters. Then turn it around and ask that it draws any negativity it has dissolved from the person’s energy field. Of course thank the wand and those who have worked through the wand for their efforts.
Never point your wand at anyone without the intent to heal or bring about positive change, and again never without his or her permission. Take care of your wand and always cleanse it after use.
In time most practitioners develop a method of working with the wand, which suits them, this article is intended as a general guide to enable you to develop a technique, which works for you. Feel free to experiment, but we recommend that before working with any energetic process a simple affirmation that what will take place occurs for the highest good of yourself and any recipient is good practice.
Your wand is a powerful tool for change at all levels and as such should be used with responsibility.
You can use the wand to meditate. Place the wand in your left hand, left hand being symbolic for receiving energies with pointed side of the wand facing the wrist, rounded end towards the fingers. You are directing the universal energy into the rounded tip and toward you with the pointed end.
You can draw negative energy away from something that may be bothering you. Hold the rounded end towards the area that is bothering you. The negative energy will now be directed into the wand’s rounded end, and exit toward the pointed end, which you have pointing into the universe. Once you feel that you have taken the negative energy away, turn the wand around so that the pointed end is now toward the area, and the rounded end faces toward the universe or just pointing away from the body part, and now you will replace the removed negative energy with positive energy.
Before using or wrapping your wand it should be cleaned. Place the wand in a glass container and completely cover the wand with sea or Kosher salt. Leave the wand in the salt for 6 hours (it can be longer). After the 6 hours, gently rub the wands with the salt. Now place the wands in a window where they will receive the light of the next full moon. Put the wand in the window the day before the full moon and leave them until the day after the full moon. Pour the salt down your kitchen drain, while the hot water is running.
Clean the stones before you wrap them onto the wand. After the wand has been wrapped it is good to pass it in sage incense smoke. Do not allow other people to touch your wand, if they are touched, clean them again as above. If you use your wand more than once a month it should be cleaned again.
When not in use, keep your wands on your altar or wrapped in silk in a safe place.
The gemstone wand is one of the most powerful tools that can be used in ritual. The wand may be used for ritual spells or healing help. It is used primarily to focus the intention of the spell or healing.
Choose the wand of a stone that is the basis for ritual. For example:
An aventurine wand is ideal for anything that involves luck
An amethyst wand, or sodalite wand is best for intuition or psychic abilities.
Use a rose quartz wand when you want to attract love
A moonstone wand will increase passion in your love life.
A natural quartz crystal wand makes an excellent channel for power and healing.
An angelite wand or selenite wand will facilitate connection with your angel companions.

CLEAR QUARTZ: This seems particularly useful where high energy is needed, e.g. low right locations of the assemblage point, connected to low energy in the patient. (Used as a substitute for diamond and a combination of diamond and carnelian.) Clear quartz is useful for all conditions if only one wand is available.
ROSE QUARTZ: We are using this for heart ailments, such as high blood pressure, palpitations, and stress/anxiety/panic locations. It has a strong but gentle energy which seems particularly effective for these conditions. (Used as a substitute for ruby and garnet applications of gem healing. See my book on Gem Stone and Crystal Healing and the list given below.)
SMOKY QUARTZ: Where psychological factors are strongly present in the patient’s condition, e.g. high left locations or depression, this seems a good choice. We also use lace agate if it has the correct energy.
CITRINE OR GOLDEN QUARTZ: This is used for infections, energising and, generally, for cases which would have used citrine or coral (for which citrine is often substituted) in ayurvedic medicine.
AVENTURINE OR GREEN QUARTZ: For all types of inflammation, such as eczema, or where there is agitation (e.g. where the liver is overheated due to allergies), or where cells have too much activity. (Used as a substitute for emerald, green chrysoberyl and green onyx.) We also use green moss agate and green bloodstone for similar reasons if they have the correct properties. Moss agate has traditionally been used to help those needing to face the truth about their situations, so can be useful for patients needing to face up to situations, such as addictions, an abusive relationship, etc..
AMETHYST: This is proving excellent for all cases where we have used sapphire in electrical equipment. It calms nerves, reduces pain, helps with insomnia, depression, and raises the spirits. Along with Moonstone, it is proving effective in the treatment of some diabetes. Amethyst can be useful where pain is associated with injury, such as torn ligaments, neck and shoulder pain, etc..
MOONSTONE: Used for conditions where we use Amethyst and Rose Quartz and particularly useful for difficulties associated with the menopause, conception, period pain, etc.
To make the wand an even more focused tool, add other stones to it by wrapping these onto the wand with silver wire. Remember, the wand is the primary focus and the additional stones adjust the power as a secondary element. I would take a rose quartz wand to attract love and wrap a moonstone onto the rose quartz wand to increase the passion factor. Perhaps you would add an amethyst to this rose quartz wand in order to keep a nice balance with love and passion.
To become intuitive you may use an amethyst wand with amber for grounding. To get more money, an aventurine wand with a citrine stone wrapped to it works very well.
Healing wands gather and direct energy. The elongated, cylindrical shape of a wand enables the stone or crystal to direct its healing energy in a straight line, and the wand’s point focuses the crystal’s energy so that it can be used on specific areas of the body.
Crystal wands can be used in many different methods of healing. They can be used to heal the entire body or aura, or they can be used on a specific area of the body, or on a particular chakra. They can be used to scan the aura and the chakras to locate blockages, and then cleanse and heal them.
Wands can also be used in massage healing. Massaging the body with a stone wand helps to release tension from the body, while at the same time the stone’s healing energy is transferred to the body. Smooth, round wands that are rounded on at least one end are the best to use in massage healing as they will not scratch or cause other discomfort to the body. Pointed wands are good to use in reflexology, a healing method in which the stone’s point is held at certain pressure points, mostly on the hands and feet, to heal ailments in particular areas of the body.
A crystal wand is not just a tool but is also a deeply personal object and people are often drawn to a wand that is in some ways ‘right’ for them. However it cannot be emphasised strongly enough that a suitable crystal wand MUST be used when performing an assemblage point shift. To use an inappropriate wand that is either of the wrong matiral or size for a shift would be totally ineffective or even harmful for your patient. Therefore take time to seek out and choose a good crystal.Wands come in a wide variety of stones and crystals, so there are many different wands to choose from. Different stones have different healing energies and, therefore, have different effects on the body, aura, and chakras. As each gemstone has different healing properties, it is nice to have a variety of wands to use for a variety of different purposes. You might, therefore, wish to build a collection of wands made from a variety of gemstones.A suitable wand should fit the palm of the hand comfortably and show at least an inch (preferably much more) above the hand. For a beginner a wand should be at least seven inches long and have a diameter of at least one inch at the base (the stronger a practitioner’s own energy field, the smaller the crystal wand he/she can use). Sometimes a wand can be smaller if it has excellent energy. To gauge a wand’s energy, always ask an expert in assemblage point work. Wands which might be considered suitable for massage or reiki work might be quite inappropriate for shifting the assemblage point. The wand will generally be of clear quartz (otherwise known as rock crystal), rose quartz, smoky quartz, citrine, or amethyst. Citrine and amethyst wands are rarely found in large enough sizes so, generally, it is clear, smoky and rose quartz which are used for assemblage point work However, recently, we have been having specially commissioned enormous wands mined for us, in green quartz (aventurine), citrine, amethyst and other types such as moonstone, moss agate, labradorite. Details are given below of the discoveries we are now making as we scientifically test these wands. Avoid wands which have been treated with heat, dye or radiation – their vibrational frequencies and dielectric resonance will be impaired.A clear quartz crystal wand is a very good stone for beginners to work with as it is an all-purpose healing stone, having the ability to heal any ailment on any area of the body or aura. This makes it a good stone to have for your first wand.Clear quartz is an excellent stone for gathering, storing, directing, and transmitting energy, but it can also transmute negative energy into positive healing energy. Its versatility and multiplicity of uses make it an essential wand for anyone to have. Clear quartz is also an amplifier of energy, and so it is good stone to attach a crystal stone to any stone wand to enhance and augment its healing energies. When selecting a wand to use for a specific purpose, you should choose one made from a stone that is suitable to your intention. Therefore, it is good to know a little about the healing properties of different gemstones so that you are able to select a stone that harmonizes with the purpose for which you wish to use it. For example, to heal a broken heart, the best and strongest stone to use when dealing with love and emotions is rose quartz. But if you tried to use sodalite, for instance, it wouldn’t do much, if anything, in helping to mend your broken heart, as its primary properties are centered around communication and thought. If, however, you are lost as to which stone to choose, clear quartz is always a good choice.
Before using your wand, you may wish to spend some time with it to become familiar with its energy and to harmonize with it. The better you know your wand, the more effectively it will work for you. You can hold it while you meditate, or just sit holding it and feeling its shape, texture, and weight, and visually examining it to familiarize yourself with any patterns or changes in color it may have. You can also sleep with your wand, or even take a bath with it. Spending time with your wand will not only help to you become attuned to it, but you will also be receiving its healing energies at the same time.
The wand should have good triangles reaching a point at one end and a rounded, smoothed base at the other. Avoid wands which are chipped and damaged. The wand should have no obvious defects which might weaken or interrupt the energy flow through it.If a pair of wands is being used, the wand at the back – known as the stabilising wand – can be smaller than the one at the front, but a matched pair is ideal. A matched pair would be almost identical, being of the same type of quartz and similar in size and proportions. It is best to buy such a pair at the same time and, if possible, ascertain that they have come from the same mine so their material is as similar as possible and should have the same vibrational frequency. It has taken much time and painstaking research to discover the best type of wand to use for different types of patients and conditions. Often particular wands seem to suit particular practitioners best. For instance, when beginning, a practitioner might find a very slightly smaller wand easier to manage and will gradually move into using larger varied types as he/she becomes more proficient. Sometimes there seems to be a relationship between the success of the treatment and the type of wand chosen and sometimes there does not. In general, a good strong energetic wand should work well for all conditions and we cannot stress how important it is to have a wand which is large enough and has sufficient energy or your work will not be effective.
Programming a Wand: It is the power of one’s intention that drives the energy of a wand, so it is a good idea to program your wand for its intended purpose, especially if it is specific. Crystals are tools of light, they reflect, condense, focus and emit light. Our bodies give off light, its just not visible to the human eyes (except for aura sight). Crystals are beings of light, if a crystal is within your possession it is because the crystal chose to be there, not the other way around. If a crystal doesn’t want to be around for any given amount of time, it wont. They have a tendency to just disappear. If you know crystals well you have already experienced this. Then when they choose to be present you will find them in the middle of the floor or desk, in a location you have just looked over a dozen times looking for that exact crystal. They can be programmed for anything you can imagine, love (not from a specific person), money, success, protection, courage, discipline, focus, mastery of skills, understanding a book or substance, you can program a crystal to aid you in the understanding and added skills of wand making. The possibilities are endless. Anything you can imagine, you can create.Clear quartz crystals are the most versatile and programmable of stones. First visualize what you choose to program, then ask the crystal you intend on using if it will be willing to do this task. Then listen, If you feel good or if you hear a Yes then move on, But if you don’t feel good about it or you hear a No then try for another crystal, we have to respect their wishes if we intend to do any decent crystal programming. To program a quartz point, hold it in the left hand and concentrate on something you want manifested in your life while looking at a particular facet of the crystal point. When you have the idea clearly in mind and well-focused on the facet, tap it with your right finger.Another way to program a crystal is to hold it between your hands, close your eyes and focus. Imagine what you will create, then rub the crystal in between you hands so that it rolls back and forth, and state strongly your intent to the crystal.”Crystal of divine light, Crystal of divine light, Crystal of divine light.”Or “Healing Crystal, Healing Crystal, Healing Crystal. After Programming seal the crystal by saying to the crystal “This is the task you have been given, This is your focus, I seal this energy within.
The energy is sent the energy is free, this is my will, so will it be.The more you use the crystal for its desired intent, the easier it will drain or weaken. You may want to clean or re-program it on a regular basis. Wire-wrapping a crystal keeps the programming in longer.Remember to visualize having what you desire. They naturally produce clear sightedness. They help you see what you need to see. Able to heal what needs to be healed. As soon as something is noticed on an energy level or on an intellectual level, it can be altered. For example, if you want some crystal help with lowering your high blood pressure, you might choose a stone such as tourmaline, as it helps with many types of blood conditions. But tourmaline is also beneficial for many other areas of the body (the lymph nodes, spine, and endocrine system, for example), as well as for many other types of ailments (earache, insomnia, laryngitis, and epilepsy to name a few). And so you may wish to give your tourmaline specific programming so that its energy is focused on lowering your blood pressure. If you have chosen a stone whose healing properties fit well to your intention, the wand should readily and easily accept programming.
Crystal and gemstone wands should always be cleansed and recharged after usage, especially when it is being used on multiple people or for multiple purposes. Otherwise, any harmful or negative energies the stone has removed from one person may be transferred to another. The easiest and most efficient way to cleanse a wand is to soak it in water for 12 to 24 hours. (Make sure first that your stone is not one that can be damaged by water.) And the best way to recharge your wand is to leave it out in the sun for an hour or so, or leave it out under moonlight for an entire night, which works best when the moon is full.
Cleansing disassociates items with their past vibrations. Sitting in a factory or store, people handling it, being transported, sitting on a shelf in your room gathering dust—items pick up various bits of energy. You want to wipe the vibrational slate clean to attune it with your own energies, or those conducive to your goal.
There are several ways to cleanse an object:
- Burn a cleansing incense like sage, and run the object through the smoke
- Bury it in the earth for a while, or in a bowl of salt/dirt/cornmeal
- Soak it in salt water, or sprinkle/spray it
- Hold it for a while under running water
- Wave it over a candle flame, or actually put it into the fire
- Sweep away negativity with a besom
The wand can be wrapped in brass wire or silver wire and other gemstones. Using different gemstones and crystals can change the energy (and purpose) of the wand.
Stability:A Jasper wand or Agate wand protects and stabilizes. Wrap an Ametrine stone and Crystal stone onto these and you have a very powerful aid for healing a troubled mind or opening the mind to a higher plane. Just sit with the wand in your hand with the point facing outward and within minutes you should feel changes.
Good Fortune and Success:Wrap a citrine gemstone or fluorite onto a Aventurine wand, sit with the point facing outward to bring opportunity and good luck right to you!
Protection:Need protection for your home? Wrap a Black Tourmaline onto a Crystal wand or an Black Obsidian Wand or Snowflake Obsidian Wand and take a walk though your home. Use the pointed end of the wand and aim it towards every corner of the room, moving the wand from ceiling to floor, saying, “Seal of protection is now in place, all who dwell herein are safe”.
Love:To increase the love in your life, wrap a Moonstone Wand or Rose Quartz Wand with a rhodonite stone, rhodochrosite, rose quartz or chrysocolla.
Angelic Guidance:A Selenite Wand or Angelite Wand will open guidance and communication from your angel companions. These can be wrapped with any of the throat chakra stones.
There are many types of personal power wands that you can create by studying the meanings of gemstones and combining these to come up with a wand that is personal and powerful for you.
So you simply use your intentions and visualizations to direct negative energy away from an area, and then use your intentions and visualizations to replace this removed negative energy with positive energy. See the positive energy entering the rounded end of the wand, and exiting the pointed end of the wand into the area.
Take a deep breath, and with every breath that follows inhale one of the symbols, and then exhale the symbol into the wand. Remember, that the very molecular structure of the wand is being altered so that it can absorb, maintain, and keep the healing symbols. Just decide that your charging wand up with the healing symbol pattern, which you will/can do for all the symbols When you feel that the wand is charged with the desired symbol, mentally say, “the patterns are set, it’s done.”
Now relax your right hand, take another deep breath, and transfer the wand over to your left hand symbolic for receiving energies. Feel the energy from the wand with your left hand. This wand is now an object of power because you have made it so. You can then think a certain healing symbol and feel that symbol charging your body and expanding around you. The wand will serve as a catalyst to trigger the healing process. We can energize or charge the wand with healing symbols.
- Wand Technique to use :Take pointed end of wand, and use pointed end to remove “pain,” for this example. With your hand, mentally trace around the tip of the wand the healing symbol to be used.Bring the wand to your navel area. See the symbol chosen infused into the wand. Charge it at your navel with seeing the symbol in the navel, exhale, see the symbol in the wand. Now take the wand and draw/ trace the energized symbol over the area of the body that has the pain. Then, after making the imaginary or tracing the imaginary healing symbol, point the wand directly at the area of the body, as if it were a hook and quickly “jerk” and remove the pain by “hooking” it and throwing it away, or sending it into the earth.
Healing with a Wand: There is no right or wrong way to work with a wand. There are, however, a few common basic methods. These methods are not set in stone (ha, ha), but are merely a rough guideline to help you to get started. A big part of working with stones, whether or not you are using them for healing, is listening to your intuition. The energy vibrations of a stone will speak to you if you listen. As you work with your wand and gain experience using it, you will eventually come up with a method which works best for you and your wand(s).
To heal a specific condition (on yourself or someone else):
Begin by drawing the “bad” energy out of the affected area. Do this by holding the wand over the wound (it is not necessary to touch the body with the wand) with the point pointing away from the area being healed. While doing this, picture in your mind the crystal drawing the negative energy out of the body, through the crystal, and then out the pointed tip. Some people also draw a circle or spiral in the air above the wound by waving the wand in a counter-clockwise direction as they move it over the afflicted area. Some people speak out loud in prayer, or repeat the intention, or speak other words of healing. Again, there is no right or wrong way to do this. Use your intuition and go with what you feel is best.
To replace the negative energy with positive energy, and thereby heal the problem area, do the opposite. Hold the wand point down over the afflicted area as you visualize healing energy coming down into the crystal, through it, and then into patient’s the body in a focused beam of energy. If you waved the wand counter-clockwise when drawing out the negative energy, then wave the wand over the area in a clockwise motion. If you spoke words during the removal of the bad energy, you may wish to also speak words while the problem area is infused with healing energy. Use your intuition to determine when the healing is complete. It could take anywhere from one minute to 15 minutes or even longer. After completion, some people say a prayer of thanks.
The 7 Chakras are the energy centers in our body in which energy flows through. The word ‘chakra‘ is derived from the sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’. Literally translated from the Hindi it means ‘Wheel of spinning Energy’. A chakra is like a whirling, vortex like, powerhouse of energy.
ROOT or BASE CHAKRA (Muladhara) – Zodiac signs Capricorn, Virgo and Taurus
The 4th Ray of “Harmony through Conflict” governs the base chakra or root. This chakra symbol represents the most earth-centered energy. It stands for our inherited beliefs through our formative years. Self-preservation, personal survival and our identification with the physical world centers in this bottom most of the main seven chakras.
A healthy root chakra connects you with vitality to your family of origin, your immediate society and to the global community. If your 0-7 years were challenging and without love, then this damaged root chakra will function much differently. Issues of survival such as emotional dysfunction, stress, anxiety, and restlessness will plague you.
You’ll have fears of letting go, scarcity, poor boundaries, and more. It’s during the 0-7 years that we learn about where we fall in our relationships with siblings, parents, our community, and how we relate to them.
Health issues: Joint pain, lower backache, elimination problems, obesity, constipation, anorexia, and poor immune system function.
- What beliefs did you inherit or learn from your family?
- Is there unfinished business between you and your parents?
- What limiting beliefs did you learn about personal survival and money?
- Do you have personal boundaries that you maintain?
- Is it difficult for you to bond with others?
- Are you often sick or suffering from illness?
Transcendence of unloving imprints in this chakra: “Others show you yourself and what you need to work on within, by their reflection of your own rejected or denied emotions.”
Wheat grass is super nutrition even in small quantities. Wheat grass nutrifies, and detoxifies the body of harmful toxins. I chose the hand crank Hurricane Juicer and love it. A good electric overall juicer is the Omega. If I didn’t already have a Norwalk juicer, I would have bought the Omega.
The 7th Ray of “Ceremonial Magic” rules this chakra symbol. The second from the bottom of the seven chakras is about our relationships, creativity, sexuality, control and money.
It’s our time of developing individuality and realizing we are a separate entity from our parents and family. Here we learn about the polarity of opposites, male and female, positive and negative. Relationships with the opposite sex are explored here. Blocks in this second of the seven chakras brings lessons on jealousy, betrayal, control and power plays.
Health Issues: Uterine or bladder problems, sexual difficulties, impotence, lack of flexibility, sciatica, lower back pain, and problems with large intestines.
- Do you express your creativity?
- Are you comfortable with your sexuality and able to receive nurturing from others?
- Do you need to control, or give your power away to get something in return?
- Are you addicted to alcohol, drugs, sex, people or something else?
- Do you suffer from guilt, shame, anger, and are judgmental towards the past?
- Do you find it difficult to make money?
- Do you stand up for yourself…say what you mean and mean what you say?
- Do you make everything a crisis?
Transcendence of the unloving imprints within this chakra: “emotional addictions are felt, accepted, loved and forgiven.”
The 6th Ray of “Devotion” governs this chakra. This chakra symbol connects us with the energy to take action and is the seat of self-esteem and expressing our personal power. Our relationship to the world around us, and our beliefs about our place within it come from this the third of the seven chakras.
Self-honoring starts here. A healthy third chakra honors emotions, warmth, intellectual understanding, and self-confidence. A keen awareness of your personal power comes from this chakra. It is at this chakra that balance becomes possible through harmony between the upper three and lower three chakras.
Blocks in this chakra symbol cause fear of rejection, over sensitivity to criticism, the need to exert power over others, hot temper, demanding and blaming, judgmental attitudes, feelings of lack of recognition, aloofness, fear of something new, low energy, confusion over which direction to go, and low self-esteem. It is here we learn of self-empowerment, integrity and self-respect.
Health Issues: diabetes, hypoglycemia, gallstones, nervousness, low energy, muscle cramps, stomach problems, lumbar spine, liver disorders.
- Is passive-aggressive manipulation of others something you do to get your way?
- Do you feel like a victim?
- Do you compensate from low self-esteem and shame based feelings by being overly responsible?
- Can you follow your heart to break through blocks and fears?
- Are you afraid of change?
- What causes you to lose your power and why?
- Do you maintain your integrity by following through on what you say?
- Do you respect yourself and others too?

“Balance between intuition and intellect.”
HEART CHAKRA (Anahata) – Zodiac signs Aquarius, Gemini and Libra
The 2nd Ray of “Love-Wisdom” rules this chakra symbol. It’s at this chakra that we start to see the possibilities of the internal and external world…the world of spirit and of form. The heart chakra is the integration point for the seven chakras of the body, because it holds the sacred spark of the divine and the intuition of the Mother.
When the heart chakra symbol is open, we are able to forgive, our lungs are clear and our immune systems are healthy. The higher chakras cannot be assessed till we pass through the heart. A heavy heart is one that carries resentment and anger from denied feeling and emotions, as well as guilt.
To have a healthy heart, you must allow these suppressed emotions to surface, heal, and fall in love with yourselves. Or, suffer from bitterness and lack of forgiveness. An unhealthy heart chakra causes alone feelings and despair. How you love yourselves, you love others. The heart lessons are self-love and forgiveness of yourself.
Health issues: high blood pressure, breathing difficulties, circulation problems, shortness of breath, chest pains, disorders of the heart, tension between the shoulders.
- Do you allow yourself time alone for you?
- Do you practice true forgiveness by seeing your own faults?
- Do you carry a lot of sadness and emotional wounds in your heart that you don’t want to accept and look at?
- Are you able to let go of controlling everything and letting a balance between intellect and your feeling emotions have control?
Transcendence of the unloving imprints of this chakra:
“Healing of spirit, emotions, body and heart take precedence over everything.”
Loving yourself means feeding your body nutritious “whole” foods. Sprouts can be well over 30 times more nutritious than the parent plants. They are easy to grow, delicious, quickly digested, and the nutrients are more readily absorbed.
THROAT CHAKRA (Vissudha) – No Zodiac signs
The 3rd Ray of “Active intelligence,” is associated with the fifth of the seven chakras. This chakra symbol is all about choice, willpower and the right to speak and be heard. Speaking our peace is our God given right of choice. Having said this, not all we say gives us peace. Some of what we say dis-empowers us…some empowers. What we say is caused by unloving or loving imprints from our past again.
It is through this chakra that we manifest what we want in life. A healthy throat chakra makes your voice clear and it resonates with truth. The words are a creative expression of the honestly and trust we feel within.
Blocks in this chakra make it difficult to communicate because we feel suppressed by swallowed emotions and feelings. The voice is weak and your feelings unclear or garbled. Integrity plays a huge part in the proper functioning of the throat chakra. Since it’s between the head and the heart it works to maintain integrity between what we think and what we feel. Self-empowerment is the main lesson of this chakra symbol.
Health issues: fever, ear infections, weariness, thyroid problems, disorders in the throat, ears, voice, neck, cervical spine, hypothalamus and esophagus problems.
- Do you express your thoughts and feelings so others understand?
- Is your voice clear and resonant when you speak?
- Do you believe you have the right to make choices for yourself that empower you?
- Are you a good listener?
- Do you lie in order to get your way?
- Do you have a good sense of timing and rhythm?
- Is your head and your heart going in opposite directions?
Transcendence of the unloving imprints of this chakra:
“New found awareness and direction.”
Dehydrated foods is a quick, nutritious snack for busy people and children. The Excalibur is one of the best dehydrators, because it has a thermostat to keep the temperature below 108 degrees to preserve the vital enzymes. This is the dehydrator I use.
THIRD EYE (Ajna) – No Zodiac signs
This chakra is governed by the 5th ray of “Concrete Knowledge.” Our intuition and our ability to see with vision comes from here. It’s the center of divine wisdom, the spiritual eye that seeks to see and know the truth in all things. From the sixth of the seven chakra symbols we close our physical eyes and look at the world from all aspects of self. Our intuition becomes our guide.
A healthy third eye gives us the power to perceive every reflection from the outer world, as a direct call for us to accept it as ours, heal and love it.
Blocks in this chakra cause us to become delusional, unimaginative, indifferent and to have poor memories. Worry is a big problem, spaced-out, and poor concentration also plague a person with a sick third eye chakra.
- Do you trust your intuition?
- Can you let your imagination soar and visualize?
- Do you constantly justify and give reasons for acting without love?
- Do you have “insight” as to what’s happening in any situation?
- Do you have difficulty concentrating?
Health issues: headaches, eye problems, pituitary and pineal glands, neurological problems.
Transcendence of the unloving imprints of this chakra: “Balance the physical and the mental.
CROWN CHAKRA (Sahasrara) – No Zodiac sign
The 1st Ray of “Will and Power” is associated with this chakra symbol. This chakra is located at the top of the head and spins very quickly as a 1000 petal lotus…our direct connection to God. Guidance comes directly to us from the divine and is received through this chakra.
The life force from the creator penetrates into our energy system through the crown, and moves down through the other energy centers to the root chakra. From here we are inspired by God, and filled with Grace, because we have a strong connection to a power greater than ourselves. We live in present time and our spirits live in the now in harmony with our form and Will.
Blocks in this chakra cause confusion, depression, senility, fear of success and lack of inspiration. The flow of spiritual energy is blocked in both directions. When this happens spiritual addiction and over intellectualizing occurs, as well as dissociation with the body.
Healthy Issues: Migraines, brain tumors, coma, amnesia, nervous system and muscular system disorders, mental issues, and skin disorders.
- Can you feel a higher power governing your life?
- Do you feel inspired, and open to new ideas?
- Do you often feel confused or depressed?
- Do you meditate?
- Do you pray to God, thanking Him for all that you are, and show gratefulness for what you have?
- Are you always complaining to God about your unhappiness?
Transcendence of unloving imprints of this chakra: “I and my Father are one in complete harmony with my Will.”
To scan the aura and chakras to locate and heal blockages:
- It is easiest to have the patient in a laying down position. Begin wherever on the body you wish and hold the wand horizontally over the patient, but not touching the patient. Slowly move the wand over the entire body. As you do this, take note of any areas in which the wand feels different. It may vibrate, or become warm, or feel harder to move, or feel heavier. These are the areas where there are blockages in the aura or chakras.
- Once you have finished scanning the aura, go back to the blocked areas and use the wand in the same way as above, first removing the negative energy, and then replacing it with positive energy.
An alternate way to scan the aura:
- With the patient lying down, hold the wand point up and move it over the body slowly in small counter-clockwise circles beginning at the feet. Whenever you feel that there is a blockage, pause at the area and remove the negative energy as before. If you feel the need to change the wand’s movement, then do so. Once the area feels clear, return back to the counter-clockwise movement and continue scanning the body up towards the head, stopping again whenever you sense there is a blockage.
- When you reach the crown of the head, reverse the wand so it is pointing downward, and swing the wand over the patient’s body in small clockwise circles, working your way back down to the feet. This will recharge the energy fields in the aura and chakras. If you once again feel an area of blockage, turn the point back upwards and remove the bad energy until it feels cleared. Then turn the point back downwards and return to waving the wand in small clockwise circles over the body, beginning with the area that was just unblocked. The Wands are designed to be carried around with you throughout the day. They are designed to be strong, which allows greater flexibility in how you use them; holding them in your hand, pocket, handbag or briefcase. You can engage them at work or at home, during exercise, recreational activities, meditation and so on. Unlike the Discs, the Wands have a radius or ‘field of energy’ that when engaged and participated with can purify, transform and hold not only a Radiance in our own field, but in that of our environment. To Receive the Energy of the Wands:
Sit and hold your Wands. One at a time or one in each hand. Take some deep breaths, relax and receive.
You can imbue a glass (cup or bottle) of water with the Alchymeic Intention of your Wand by tapping the Wand on the side of the glass. Hold the Wand and sip the water to receive its energy.
Place the Wands on or over your chakras.
Move the Wands around your auric field, to clear the energy of the day. You may also do this for a friend, perhaps placing the wand over areas where you intuit it is needed.
Place the Wands under your pillow and/or hold it at night to enjoy it while you rest.
Wave and circle the Wands through the air and tap them onto objects as an interactive, purifying and refreshing puja (an eastern term, the essence of which is removing the build up of negative accumulations in the psyche and world.) For instance, sweeping the Wands over beds, chairs, clothes, inside the car, office and home…
Feel the Radiance extend out through your surrounding environment.
Engage and hold Wands during the day. This may be particularly useful and refreshing in crowded places, at work or school. Experiment with using different combinations of Wands.
Strap Wands to your shower-head to imbue the shower water and cleanse your auric field.
Float Wands in a bath to immerse yourself in their energies.
Strap Wands to a garden hose, or tap a watering can so that your garden and plants may receive the Alchymeic Blessing. The Wands may be shared with other people. Often it is easier to ‘receive’ an Energy when someone else is working on you. Therefore, an excellent way to experience the Wands is to give or receive a Wand treatment.
Again, there is no right or wrong way to do this. Just listen to your intuition to find the way that is best for you.Whether you use crystal healing to cleanse auras, heighten chakras, or maximize your psychic potential, you will find that your life is improved almost instantly, and you will experience a more fulfilled and blessed daily living as a result.
