Solar Plexus Chakra
Located at the navel or just above at the solar plexus, the third chakra is called Manipura, the “City of Jewels”
Manipura chakra is shown as having ten petals, bearing the Sanskrit letters ḍa, ḍha, ṇa, ta, tha, da, dha, na, pa, and pha.
The seed sound in the centre is ram. The tattwa for the element of Fire is shown (here in outline) as a red triangle.
Manipura is represented with a downward pointing red triangle, signifying the tattva of fire, within a bright yellow circle, with 10 dark-blue or black petals like heavily laden rain clouds. The chakra has three swastikas around it.
The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with the parts of our consciousness having to do with perceptions of power, control, or freedom. In its clear state, it represents ease of being, and comfort with what is real for one’s self – being comfortable with who you are.
Parts of the body associated with this chakra include the organs closest to the solar plexus – stomach, gall bladder, spleen, liver, etc. – as well as the skin as a system, the muscular system as a system, and the face in general.
The physical sense associated with this chakra is the sense of sight. Anyone with impaired eyesight experiences tension at the level of their solar plexus chakra about the issues of power, control, or freedom. Nearsighted people also experience tensions at the level of the Root Chakra, and experience the world through a perceptual filter of fear or insecurity. Those who are farsighted experience tension also at the level of the throat chakra, and see the world through a perceptual filter of anger or guilt. Astigmatics see through the emotional perceptual filter of confusion. The endocrine gland associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra is the pancreas. We can say that diabetics are keeping sweetness from themselves.
When someone gets too close with sweetness, they feel threatened in their power to be who they are, and an emotion comes up to create a safe distance again. The emotion is anger. Diabetes is associated with suppressed anger.
The element associated with this chakra is fire, and the person’s relationship with the sun says something about their relationship with the parts of their consciousness associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra.
Thymus – Circulatory System – Blood
Vitalizes the life stream through the pumping of the heart center, and controls the circulation of the blood.
The heart feeds all cells within the body structure. Vitalizes the vegas nerve, the largest nerve in the parasympathetic nervous system. When open it helps us remove fear blocks, and brings compassion in the form of spiritual love. Through our Heart Chakra we can feel a connection and sense of oneness with others.
Unconditional Love, self-acceptance, and the place where Spirit can guide us to higher levels of being and loving. The heart is the Mother in all of us. Kindness, Forgiveness, Love, Peace and Harmony along with Laughter and Playfulness.
This third chakra is your emotional power center where you take control and authority of one’s self and emotions and helps project love and light into the world. When one is pure and at peace with others, all is positive. All conflicts are stopped and transformed thus facilitating learning instead of fighting. When two people quarrel (negativity) the blue-violet light turns dark. From the higher realm it is common to see blue-violet ogres over these people. The darker the light is the more hate there is. When it turns black a blockage may arise in the solar plexus center in one or both of the people.
This chakra is connected to feelings of self-worth, control and personal power. Both too much and too little. It develops between 5 – 12 years old approximately. It is our emotional power house. Blockages in the solar plexus inhibit not just our emotional growth but also our ability to make decisions and succeed in this lifetime. It is through this chakra that we experience and express our Joy.

There are differences between quarreling and confrontation:
To quarrel is to make war, one attacks, feels ill-treated, complains, attacks again etc.
But a conflict may also result in a confrontation, where you do not quarrel but where each of the parties, from their own point of view, explains what they feel about the actual conflict or disagreement without attacking the other person. If one stands humbly to solve the conflict, love is expressed.
A resolution will eventually find itself thus the chakra of both parties remain balanced.
When this chakra is clean the person only thinks positive thoughts, thus no impure thoughts/feelings can penetrate.
Sex is only impure if done for egoistic reasons and or by hurting others. (Sadism/masochism hurts others therefore forcing a karmic burden upon someone else.) When the two people make love, lights mix and the purple waves create figures.
Beauty depends on the love between the parties.
When there is great love, there are fantastic auras that can be compared to a fairy tale scene with the leaves and flowers that arc above the lovers (as seen from the higher realm). These powerful vibrations burn away a lot of negative aspects.
By loving another person and showing it by sexual behavior, one can develop very much personally and spiritually. There is an element of giving rather than taking. Both are willing to give up egoistic demands in favor of giving to another.
The purity that is reflected in ones attitudes means a life without complaining, living in accordance with the truth of life and manifesting one’s own reality, either positive or negative.
